CannaMax Gold+ is a powerhouse of broad-spectrum CBD (cannabidiol) super-charged with Golden Paste. It features turmeric (Curcuma longa extract) optimised with BioPerine® (black pepper extract) and coconut MCT oil. This powerful combination offers a range of potential therapeutic benefits, including relief from pain and inflammation, stress and separation anxiety, along with support for nausea management, restful sleep, and overall well-being.
Unlike CBD Isolate, CannaMax Gold+ retains the full spectrum of cannabinoids, flavonoids, and terpenes from the Cannabis sativa L. plant without THC. This creates a potent “entourage effect” (synergistic interaction), maximising its health benefits and making it the superior choice for pain management, pets dealing with anxiety or inflammation and those facing a range of wellness challenges.
Each drop contains 100% natural, THC-free and non-psychoactive CBD, gently extracted to preserve the delicate balance of its active compounds for optimal efficacy, supercharged with the equivalent of 90,000mg turmeric optimised with black pepper extract for maximum bioavailability and well-being.
Proudly made in South Africa, NutriFlex pet CBD products are crafted under strict GMP (good manufacturing practice) standards and undergo rigorous laboratory testing to ensure purity and potency.
What does CBD do for your pet?
CBD works on the chemical messenger system within your pet’s brain and body called the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The endocannabinoids, also known as endogenous cannabinoids are very similar to to CBD cannabidinoids except they're produced naturally by your pet’s body. The ECS exists and is active in the body even without the use of CBD, which means the benefits of exogenous (of external origin) CBD for your pet can be significant and profoundly beneficial.
Joint Problem Benefits
If your pet has chronic pain, your vet might prescribe conventional synthetic compounds. The problem is that these can cause further deterioration in joints and soft tissues, damage your pet’s liver, and also cause kidney damage.
CBD is a natural anti-inflammatory without the same risk of side effects as conventional drugs. CBD is thought to work by binding to the brain’s CB1 receptors. CB1 receptors stimulate an immune response, reducing inflammation and changing the brain’s perception and response to pain.
When CBD binds to CB2 receptors found in the immune and central nervous systems, the body produces more cannabinoids naturally, which helps reduce inflammation and reduce associated pain even further.
Researchers have found that dogs taking CBD for arthritis showed a decrease in pain and were more active.
CBD and Curcuminoids are natural anti-inflammatories, ideal for pet’s suffering from:
- Arthritis
- Hip and elbow dysplasia
- Sprains and strains
- Torn ligaments (CCL)
Cancer Benefits
Sadly, 50% of adult dogs develop cancer. Cancer is a massive health challenge for pets, especially if they undergo radiation or chemotherapy.
Researchers are constantly looking for new ways to treat cancer and relieve the associated pain and nausea. CBD Oil has been extensively researched as a cancer-fighting substance.
Research has shown that CBD can:
- Slow the growth of mammary cancer cells
- Increase survival time in mice with pancreatic cancer
- Kill cancer cells and slow the growth of tumours
- Increase the effectiveness of conventional cancer treatments
- Relieve nausea associated with many cancer treatments
- Reduce cancer-related pain
Seizures and Epilepsy Benefits
Approximately 5% of dogs suffer from seizures.
Conventional treatment for canine epilepsy and seizures is with antiepileptic compounds, But these harm your pet’s liver and other organs.
Researchers studying CBD as a treatment for epilepsy in dogs found that a whopping 89% of dogs that received CBD had a reduction in seizures.
It’s believed that seizures are triggered by abnormal electric charges of neurons within the nervous system.
CBD can reduce the severity and frequency of seizures. CBD interacts with endocannabinoid system, binding to receptors in the brain, which researchers speculate can improve nervous system function.
CBD has even been effective in patients with drug-resistant epilepsy.
Research demonstrated that 7 out of 8 patients experienced a significant improvement within 4 to 5 months.
Anxiety Benefits
Anxiety is one of the main reasons pet owners turn to CBD. Anxiety can appear in different forms, including:
- Separation anxiety
- Noise phobia
- Fear
- Aggression
Conventional anti-anxiety drugs are available but CBD is being studied as a natural alternative because it doesn’t have dangerous side effects.
When your pet becomes stressed, CBD drops placed directly onto your pet's tongue take effect within just 5 to 20 minutes.
However, it appears that CBD is most beneficial for anxiety when given over a prolonged period of time. So if your pet is prone to stress, a long-term daily dose might work best.
Pain Benefits
The most promising CBD research has been conducted on pain.
CBD has been shown to be effective for nerve pain and arthritis without the harmful effects of conventional pain relief compounds.
CBD binds to CB1 in the brain and CB2 receptors within the central nervous system, which can positively impact how your pet’s brain perceives and responds to pain.
CBD can also help manage sleeplessness and nausea that accompanies chronic pain and is just as effective for managing acute pain caused by injury.
Allergy Benefits
The endocannabinoid system is also found in your pet's skin, and that’s great news for dogs with allergies.
It means CBD can rejuvenate the growth of healthy skin cells while relieving dry and itchy skin.
CBD can be given orally for allergies or used externally for hot spots or interdigital cysts.

The Science
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a powerful signalling system comprising endogenous cannabinoids, their receptors, and metabolic enzymes that play a critical homeostatic role in processing and modulating various bodily functions in cats and dogs [1-3]. This universal system mediates a homeostatic balance of the nervous and immune systems in conjunction with other organ systems [3]. Research indicates that a balanced ECS promotes appetite, sleep, mood regulation and stability, pain perception, memory, body temperature, immunity, reproduction and fertility in mammals and humans. Conversely, a lack of endogenous cannabinoids can result in digestive issues (vomiting, irregular bowels, diarrhoea), poor appetite, sleep problems, stress, anxiety, fear and aggression, lethargy and lack of activity, poor balance and coordination, pain and inflammation. Targeting the ECS with Phytocannabinoids (CBD Oil) has been shown to trigger the same physiological effects as endocannabinoids, delivering natural relief and promoting systemic well-being [1].

What is CBD?
CBD (cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring substance in cannabis and hemp. Both hemp and cannabis deliver significant health benefits, but there's a difference.
Cannabis contains significant amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). THC is the psychoactive element of cannabis and marijuana that gives a "high".
CannaMax CBD is naturally extracted from the hemp plant, which is much lower in THC. Our broad-spectrum CBD contains no more than 0.001% THC, which means your pet will get the health benefits and calmness from the CBD without the "buzz."
It's important to remember that while you might enjoy the high from THC, your pet certainly won't.
Is CannaMax Gold Full Spectrum CBD?
Yes. Full-spectrum CBD is the ideal CBD for dogs with arthritis and joint pain and is considered superior to CBD Isolate.
Full-spectrum CBD, also called broad-spectrum, means the CBD oil contains all of the vital compounds in the whole hemp plant.
CBD Cannabidiol is just one of a range of other cannabinoids, including CBA, CBC, CBN, CBD, CBG, and terpenes.
These active substances work together to increase the effectiveness of cannabinoids.
This is known as the "entourage effect", which activates the endocannabinoid system more effectively, improving its healing qualities. Broad-spectrum CBD is THC-free to deliver all the benefits of hemp without the high.
Many CBD oils for pets are produced from CBD Isolate. CBD Isolate carries no THC but lacks cannabinoids and terpenes.
It makes CBD Isolate much cheaper to produce, but it's also much less effective.
How are CannaMax Gold servings measured?
CannaMax Gold CBD Oil for dogs and cats comes in a bottle with a medical glass dropper marked out in increments of 0.5ml and 1ml.
Please follow the recommended daily dose instructions on the product packaging.
What is the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)?
Using Cannabis for its medicinal qualities dates back centuries. However, the scientific exploration of its healing properties is significantly more recent.
Recent decades have been marked by a surge in scientific studies on the use of CBD by humans and animals
One of the most significant breakthroughs (as recently as the early 1990s) was the discovery of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS).
The ECS (endocannabinoid system) is a complex regulatory system (series of transmitters, receptors and specialised enzymes) responsible for balancing (homeostasis) multiple natural processes in the body, including metabolism, mood, anxiety, sleep, immune system function, skin health, digestion, pain and inflammation responses.
All mammals have an ECS and can benefit from CBD, minor cannabinoids and terpenoids.
Initially, many people are sceptical of CBD Oil's ability to unlock such an array of health benefits, but it's precisely because the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) regulates so many bodily functions that it also has the ability to stabilise them.
Your dog or cat, like all mammals, has their own Endocannabinoid System (ECS). In addition to producing its own endocannabinoids, ECS responds to the introduction of cannabinoids such as those found in CBD oil.
These can be introduced via food and supplements and applied topically.
Can I give my pet CBD for humans?
No. You should avoid CBD oil products made for humans, which can include artificial flavourings and other ingredients which may be harmful to canines and felines.
Pet owners should also be aware that many CBD oils made for people can also contain high levels of THC, which can be fatal to pets.
The best CBD oil will be one made specifically for pets, such as CannaMax Gold.
Can CBD oil be taken with veterinary compounds?
Yes, CBD Oil can be taken with prescription medications. However, if your pet is taking prescription medication that is metabolised by the liver ( around 60% of pet medications) it's typically recommended to separate the doses by 2 hours. Either way, we encourage you to speak to your veterinarian before starting a regimen with CBD oil to ensure that there aren't any interactions.
What is the difference between CBD Oil and Hemp Oil?
There is a significant amount of confusion about these two terms because "CBD" and "Hemp" are often used interchangeably.
Hemp seed oil is a dietary equivalent to olive or coconut oil. It makes an excellent salad dressing but does not contain CBD and is not considered medicinal.
Hemp oil refined from the plant's seeds contains no CBD since the cannabidiol compounds found in the leaves do not occur within the seeds.
Hemp seed oil will not deliver the benefits associated with CBD products such as CannaMax Gold.
Is CBD Oil safe for pets?
Clinical studies have shown that CBD is safe for pets with no or minimal side effects and may include a mild sedative effect or gastrointestinal upset in animals with sensitive digestive systems.
Conversely, adverse side effects from conventional veterinary medications can be debilitating and severe. For example, the long-term usage of NSAIDs can cause ulcers, intestinal bleeding, lethargy, liver failure, kidney failure and even death.
Therefore, the risks and benefits need to be weighed in context by vets and pet parents alike.

My big girl does very well on the advanced power. She has more mobility
Always excellent service. The website is very user friendly. Delivery is very quick
Max did not like this – wish this was in a tablet form and odourless – it would be easier to give to him. Think he would eat it more readily in tablet form that had a chicken or beef taste or if in powder that there is no odour
Love that this is odourless and can be mixed in with the food and easily digested. Definitely seen the difference in Max with this product
Super impressed that once order is placed – delivery is quite quick
Brilliant product, saw results within 3 days
